The best candidate for the job will be an active individual who is ready to be on their feet and on the go regularly for a full 8-hour shift. Every day is different in the hospitality world, and Maintenance team members needs to be flexible with their plans and daily priorities.\nDaily Duties\nPerform various maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting and equipment repair\nMaintain swimming pools, grounds and general property clean up\nRespond to general maintenance requests in guest rooms, common areas and employee areas\nEnsure the hotel facilities are in top working condition at all times with daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance checks and procedures\nWork with and support other hotel departments moving supplies and receiving deliveries to keep operations running smoothly\nMaintain safety/security practices and have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures\nSnow removal\nOff season project work\nOther duties assigned by management\nRequirements & Qualifications\nFlexibility - everyday is different\nStrong attention to detail\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team and take direction\nWillingness to go above and beyond to ensure hotel's success\nExtensive hands-on maintenance experience\nKnowledge/experience with any of the following: electrical, plumbing, construction/carpentry, & HVAC\nAbility to push or pull 60 pounds and lift and/or carry 50 pounds\nAbility to stand for 8 hours, bend, stretch, and reach\nWeekend availability, when we are busiest, is generally required in the hospitality industry\nLafayette Hotels is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer.
