The successful candidate will develop and maintain Perl-based solutions that automate email account provisioning, decommissioning, data retention, and integration with our Student Information System (SIS).\n\nResponsibilities\nAnalyze and enhance existing Perl applications that manage user accounts and email lifecycle processes.\nDesign and implement automated workflows for decommissioning email accounts while preserving required email data.\nDevelop solutions to archive or retain email data without maintaining inactive mailboxes indefinitely.\nCreate automated account aging processes to reduce unnecessary licensing costs.\nDevelop integrations that synchronize account and user data back to the Student Information System (SIS).\nDesign and implement secure provisioning processes for new user accounts.\nEnsure account provisioning follows privacy and security best practices by creating new accounts rather than reusing previously assigned accounts.\nTroubleshoot, maintain, and optimize existing Perl code and related system integrations.\nProduce clear technical documentation, including system architecture, workflows, code documentation, and operational procedures.\nCollaborate with IT stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational security, compliance, and operational requirements.\nRequired Qualifications\nStrong professional experience developing applications in Perl.\nExperience integrating enterprise systems, directories, or identity management solutions.\nExperience automating user account provisioning and deprovisioning.\nExperience working with email systems and account lifecycle management.\nFamiliarity with Student Information Systems (SIS) or similar enterprise applications.\nStrong debugging, scripting, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to create thorough technical documentation.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory, or LDAP.\nExperience with identity and access management (IAM) concepts.\nExperience developing automation scripts and scheduled jobs.\nFamiliarity with security and privacy best practices for user account management.\nAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
