Responsibilities include conducting patrols, monitoring surveillance and access control systems, responding to alarms and emergencies, maintaining accurate logs and reports, and coordinating with law enforcement when needed. Officers must exercise sound judgment, remain alert and professional under pressure, and promptly contact law enforcement when an armed response is required. This position is designated a Safety Sensitive Function. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain NJ SORA certification and comply with all applicable Company and client training requirements, policies, and regulations.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nMust have or be able to obtain SORA registration through the NJ State Police.\nMinimum age 18 years.\nAble to stand and walk for extended periods throughout an assigned shift.\nCustomer service experience and a professional, service-oriented approach.\nMust have or be able to successfully complete and maintain current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications as required by company policy, client requirements, or applicable regulations.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\n\nConduct foot and vehicle patrols of the facility and grounds to identify, deter, and report safety and security concerns.\nMonitor access control points, verifying employee, visitor, and contractor identification and credentials.\nEnforce site security procedures in accordance with written Post Instructions.\nRespond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents promptly and per established protocol.\nMaintain accurate daily activity, observation, and incident logs.\nWrite clear, accurate, and timely incident and activity reports, and communicate information effectively by two-way radio, telephone, and in person.\nPerform routine post tasks including securing doors, monitoring CCTV cameras, and operating electronic security systems.\nAssist employees and visitors, answering questions and resolving concerns professionally.\nEnforce SEI and client policies governing smoking, loitering, and parking.\nMaintain a clean, pressed uniform and professional appearance at all times.\n\nRequired Skills & Abilities\n\nMinimum:\n\nProven ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.\nAvailability for weekend, holiday, and rotating shift coverage as scheduled.\nStrong situational awareness, observation skills, and attention to detail.\nSound judgment and de-escalation skills, remaining calm and decisive during critical incidents.\nBasic computer skills, including use of a tablet or mobile device for reporting.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including clear, professional interaction with employees, visitors, client personnel, and responding law enforcement or emergency responders.\n\nPreferred:\n\nExperience with Microsoft Office Suite.\n\nMinimum Physical Requirements With or Without Reasonable Accommodation\n\n(subject to change based on client-specific needs):\n\nStand at least 1 hour without support or break.\nSit at least 1 hour without break.\nWalk at least ½ mile without stopping.\nOperate computers, tablets, radios, keypads, and access control equipment, and effectively view monitors, screens, and reports, with or without corrective lenses.\n\nEducation & Experience\n\nMinimum:\n\nHS Diploma or equivalent.\n\nPreferred:\n\n1+ year of verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience.\n\nNote: Duties, qualifications, skills, and requirements listed are not exhaustive.
