Member Capital & Patronage Coordinator

Member Capital & Patronage Coordinator The Member Capital & Patronage Coordinator is responsible for managing and supporting all aspects of owner (member) equity, capital accounts, and patronage distributions. This role ensures accurate preparation and distribution of capital and patronage statements while serving as a key point of contact for member inquiries. The position requires strong accounting fundamentals and the ability to communicate clearly in both English and Spanish. Capital & Patronage Administration Maintain and reconcile member capital (equity) accounts Prepare annual patronage dividend calculations and supporting schedules Prepare semi-annual capital requirement calculations and supporting schedules Generate and distribute quarterly capital account statements and annual patronage notices Distribute quarterly loan statements Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all member financial records Support year-end processes related to patronage allocations and reporting Prepare, file, and distribute Form 1099 filings Member (Owner) Support Respond to member inquiries regarding capital balances, patronage dividends, and statements (phone & email) Provide clear explanations of calculations and account activity in English and Spanish Assist members with documentation requests and account updates Serve as a liaison between members and internal finance teams Reporting & File Preparation Prepare distribution files and reports for internal review and external communication Maintain organized records of all capital and patronage transactions Assist with audit requests and documentation related to member equity Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve issues Process Improvement Recommend improvements to reporting, tracking, and communication processes Help standardize member communications and templates (English/Spanish) Support system enhancements related to capital and patronage tracking Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal), required Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of accounting principles (GL, reconciliations, reporting) Proficiency in Excel (sorting, lookups, basic formulas) Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy Clear communicator (especially translating financial concepts) Customer-service mindset with members/owners Ability to manage recurring deadlines (quarterly and year-end distributions) Excels at problem-solving and follow-through
