We prefer local candidates but will consider helpers willing to work on a 2:1 rotation or M-F schedule. You can expect at least 50-60 hours of work per week. This is a fast-paced environment, and you must be able to handle the weather conditions in West Texas.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities:\nAssist in installing the power supply and automation wiring.\nHelp install conduit, including Rigid Metal Conduit, MC cable, strut, and cable tray.\nAid in troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits.\nSupport the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems such as switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, lighting, and power supplies.\nMeasure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools.\nTrace short circuits in wiring with a test meter.\nInspect electrical units for loose connections and damaged insulation, and tighten connections with hand tools.\nBuild controllers and panels using power drills, taps, saws, and punches.\nMaintain a clean work area, truck, and trailer.\nService tools, vehicles, equipment, and keep parts and supplies organized.\nRequired Experience/Qualifications:\nCurrent Texas Apprentice License (Company will help set up if required)\nMinimum 1-year electrical experience (2+ years of electrical experience preferred)\nPrevious oilfield experience and knowledge is preferred\nBasic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.)\nGood communication skills\nBasic math skills\nReading skills (basic instructional and technical information)\nMust have a clean driving record\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nEmployment at GLX Technologies:\nGLX Technologies provides a drug-free workplace, and the company will require you to participate in its drug testing program. This will include a pre-employment drug screen.\nGLX Technologies also performs a driving record and 7-Point comprehensive criminal screen on all hires.\nThis position is safety sensitive.
