Evaluate new technologies and work closely with survivability, designers, test and manufacturing engineers, agencies such as DLA, part manufacturers, and test labs to develop and evaluate innovative technology that can survive in harsh environments.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nParticipate in EEE Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture, and test.\n\nParticipate in the selection, qualification, test, and failure analysis of EEE Parts.\n\nPrepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers, and analyze test reports.\n\nCoordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain organization.\n\nWork on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits (ICs), hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, and thermistors.\n\nTravel and work closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensure electronic component selections meet quality and performance requirements.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nExperience and/or knowledge in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits, including devices such as relays, hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, and capacitors.\n\nKnowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials, and processes used in EEE parts.\n\nExperience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications and providing guidance to design and test teams.\n\nWillingness/ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance; US citizenship required.\n\nDesired Skills\n\nMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Engineering with emphasis on electrical parts, semiconductor physics, or a related field of study.\n\nFamiliarity with technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements) and major program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR.\n\nBasic understanding of Nuclear effects on EEE parts and ability to work closely with Survivability Engineers in strategic Rad Hard applications.\n\nFamiliarity with military specifications and engineering requirements, worst‑case analysis (WCA), EEE parts derating, and end‑of‑life requirements.\n\nAbility to evaluate current and developing technologies for EEE parts in complex design packages.\n\nExperience or knowledge of failure analysis, destructive physical analysis, and/or root‑cause and corrective action analysis related to EEE parts.\n\nExperience establishing and implementing technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.).\n\nActive or current Secret clearance or higher.\n\nSecurity Clearance\nThis position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US citizen for consideration.
