Administer, secure, and maintain Linux virtual machines (RHEL8/9) across multiple cloud platforms (OpenStack, VMware, AWS).\r\nTroubleshoot production Linux VMs and Kubernetes clusters, ensuring node and pod health through Rancher or Kubernetes.\r\nSupport Apache NiFi deployments—performing configuration updates, monitoring dataflows, and resolving connectivity or resource-related issues.\r\nManage the full certificate lifecycle (server and PKI), ensuring systems meet current security and compliance standards (STIG/SSP).\r\nPerform software updates, patching, and system hardening through YUM and enterprise repositories.\r\nWork directly with development teams and end users to deliver operational support ranging from basic configuration changes to complex cluster builds.\r\nAnalyze logs, troubleshoot performance issues, and identify root causes of VM, container, or application-level problems.\r\nRequired Experience\r\nTroubleshooting experience (VM & application logs & tracking down sources/causes of VM or application issues).\r\nStrong Linux skills (RHEL8/9).\r\nExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher for containerized workloads.\r\nFamiliarity with Apache NiFi or similar data integration tools.\r\nWorking knowledge of Ansible for automation and configuration management.\r\nHands-on experience managing VMs in OpenStack, VMware, or AWS.\r\nAbility to troubleshoot SSH, performance, and network-related issues in Linux environments.\r\nExperience applying security hardening (STIG, STE/STN) and maintaining compliance documentation (SSP).\r\nExperience with network flow monitoring tools.\r\nActive Security + Certification.\r\nMonitoring and managing production Linux VMs.\r\nDesired Experience\r\nRedHat certification.\r\nKnowledge of Python.\r\nMongoDB, Kubernetes (Docker).\r\nFamiliar with Riverbed Technology.\r\nSalary\r\n$225,000 - $235,000 annually\r\nBenefits\r\nExcellent benefits package including 25 days PTO, 11 paid holidays, 100% employer-paid healthcare for employees and dependents – available day1, 8%401(k) employer match – immediate vesting.\r\nDisclaimer\r\nThe salary range provided is an estimate based on current market conditions and may be adjusted based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications.
