This role focuses on designing and executing reliability and compliance test strategies that validate product performance throughout the full product lifecycle from concept and development through production and sustainment.\n\nThis role works closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, Systems, Quality, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Customer Support teams to translate product requirements into meaningful reliability tests, analysis of results, identification of risks, and driving design and process improvements that enhance product robustness and customer satisfaction.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nReliability & Compliance Testing\nDesign, develop, and execute reliability and durability test plans for HMI, embedded electronics, electromechanical assemblies, touch interfaces, displays, and wearable devices.\nConduct environmental, mechanical, electrical, and operational stress testing to evaluate product robustness.\nSupport compliance testing related to product safety, EMC/EMI and wireless in accordance with international standards (e.g., UL/IEC, FCC, CE).\nDefine test requirements aligned with customer, regulatory, and internal reliability objectives.\n\nData Analysis & Risk Identification\nAnalyze test data to identify failure trends, performance limits, and potential reliability risks.\nApply statistical analysis methods to interpret results and support data-driven decision-making.\nProvide clear feedback and actionable recommendations to design, manufacturing, and quality teams.\n\nFailure Analysis & Continuous Improvement\nSupport failure analysis and root-cause investigations using structured methodologies.\nValidate effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions through targeted re-testing.\nContribute to company growth and continuous improvement initiatives across NPI and Sustaining Engineering.\n\nStandards, Documentation & Collaboration\nAssist in developing, refining, and maintaining product testing standards, procedures, and best practices.\nHave knowledge of safety, ESD, EMC, and power transient standards to advise the design team and customers in regard to standard selection and requirements for a product.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Management to understand product requirements and risks.\nDocument test plans, procedures, results, and conclusions in clear, concise technical reports.\nSupport external labs, audits, certifications, and customer reliability inquiries.\n\nTechnical Awareness & Industry Trends\nStay current with emerging reliability testing methods, tools, and industry standards.\nRecommend improvements to test methodologies, fixtures, automation, and data-collection processes.\n\nQualifications\n\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related discipline.\nMinimum of 4 years of experience in reliability engineering, test engineering, product engineering, or system-level testing, preferably involving HMI, embedded electronics, or electro-mechanical products.\nProven experience designing and executing reliability and durability tests.\nStrong knowledge of product testing methodologies, quality standards, and compliance frameworks.\nExperience with EMC/EMI, wireless, product safety, and international regulatory requirements.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\nAbility to document, present, and communicate technical findings effectively.\nExcellent communication and documentation abilities.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple concurrent priorities.\nAble to read and produce electrical schematics and PCB layouts to debug product failures & develop product test fixtures.\nProficient in the use of electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, current meters, spectrum analyzers, as well as more specialized electrical test equipment.\nUnderstand how to operate, program, and coordinate calibration and maintenance of laboratory chambers (Ultra-violet, Environmental, HALT, and RF Emissions)\nUnderstand the use of ESD discharge and PCB strain test equipment.\n\nPreferred\nExperience in regulated or high-reliability industries such as medical devices, aerospace, industrial equipment, or defense.\niNARTE EMC engineer certification.\nProficient in LabVIEW, Power BI, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint &
