This role requires advanced expertise in CNC Swiss machining techniques, tooling setup, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality machined parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSet up and operate CNC Swiss machines for production runs, including selecting tooling, loading materials, and securing workpiecesInterpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications to develop CNC programs for Swiss machining operationsProgram CNC Swiss machines using CAM software (e.g., Esprit, PartMaker) or manual programming techniques to generate toolpaths and machining sequencesConduct test runs and verify program accuracy by performing trial cuts and measurements on sample workpiecesMonitor machining processes and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to production schedulesTroubleshoot complex machining issues and develop innovative solutions to optimize performanceCollaborate with production, engineering, and quality control teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimizationTrain and mentor junior CNC operators on setup, operation, and programming techniques for Swiss machinesPerform routine maintenance on CNC Swiss machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged componentsAdhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including proper handling and operation of CNC machines and equipmentRequirementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC Swiss machines in a manufacturing environment preferredExpertise in CNC programming languages, such as G-code and M-code, and proficiency in CAM softwareStrong knowledge of Swiss machining processes, tooling, materials, and tolerancesAbility to interpret complex engineering drawings, models, and technical specificationsExceptional problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues and optimize CNC programsStrong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracyEffective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate machining projectsCommitment to safety and adherence to company policies and proceduresEDUCATION2-year technical certification or equivalent experience preferred.LOCATIONOnsiteSCHEDULEM-Th; 5:00pm - 6:00amWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
