database-related production issuesParticipating in incident response, root-cause analysis, and the development of corrective and preventive actionsPlanning, coordinating, executing, and validating monthly operating-system patchingFollowing established change-management, testing, approval, maintenance-window, and rollback proceduresDocumenting patching results, compliance status, exceptions, failures, and remediation plansDeveloping and maintaining operational scripts, automation, runbooks, procedures, and support documentationProviding regular status reports covering completed work, open items, risks, and upcoming activitiesThe proposed contractor resource should meet the following minimum technical requirements:At least five years of Linux system administration experienceAt least five years of experience supporting SQL-based database environmentsDemonstrated experience in application production supportStrong knowledge of IT operations, incident management, problem management, and change managementExperience developing operational automation using Bash and/or PythonExperience using Anthropic Claude or similar approved AI tools to automate operational workflows, documentation, analysis, or repetitive support activitiesAbility to troubleshoot issues across applications, operating systems, databases, and infrastructureExperience working with ServiceNow and JiraStrong written communication and technical-documentation skillsPerformance should be measured against defined outcomes, including ticket responsiveness, SLA compliance, completion of scheduled
