This entry-level position is ideal for candidates eager to grow their technical skills in real-world environments while contributing to the successful implementation of enterprise security systems. You will assist customers both internal and external with various requests for security system programming support.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nThe following are tasks that the position is responsible for, but not limited to:\n\nData entry\nIP addressing of cameras, intrusion, and access control devices\nSecurity/Intrusion system programming of cameras, intrusion, and access control devices within various platforms. (Genetec, Honeywell, Software House, DMP, Bosch, etc…)\nAssist field teams with the configuration, integration, and testing of:\nPhysical Access Control Systems (PACS)\nClosed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems\nIntrusion Detection Systems (IDS)\nFollow detailed technical instructions and standard operating procedures under the guidance of the IT Services Manager\nParticipate in on-site and remote troubleshooting efforts to ensure system functionality and compliance\nDocument configuration steps, test results, and system performance metrics\nSupport the preparation and staging of equipment for deployment\nMaintain a high level of responsiveness and adaptability in dynamic field environments\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nMicrosoft Office Products i.e.. Excel, Word, Teams\nBasic understanding of networked security systems and low-voltage electronics\nAbility to absorb and follow technical instructions with precision\nStrong communication and teamwork skills\nSolves problems accurately and efficiently\nShows initiative\nCurrently licensed or must have the ability to immediately obtain TXDPS Security License and TWIC card\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nAccess Control and CCTV Security Systems\nFamiliarity with tools used for system configuration and diagnostics is a plus\n\nCompensation:\n\nCompetitive Pay\nInclusion in Operational Incentive Program, which shares excess profits as bonuses\n401K Safe Harbor Plan with matching dollar-for-dollar up to 4% of annual gross salary (Traditional and Roth options available)\nHealth, Dental, and other elective insurances\n\nWork Hours & Travel:\n\nOur office hours are from Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Travel is 10-20% to Pref-Tech offices, job sites, and conferences.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nThis position is primarily office-based and requires the ability to sit for extended periods, operate a computer and standard office equipment, and communicate effectively in person and electronically.
