Our geotechnical engineers are exposed to a wide range of geo-structural foundation challenges, providing opportunities to learn from experienced engineers and leadership and tackle technical challenges on complex engineering projects. These experiences will give you a comprehensive understanding of high-tech design and realistic construction methods and requirements, ensuring your professional growth and success in the field.\nJob Responsibilities\nConduct site visits and available information research for new opportunities\nPerform pre and post-condition surveys of buildings and structures;\nDeveloping forces calculations due to lateral retaining systems, support of excavation and underpinning systems, deep foundations, waterfront structures.\nAssist in designing temporary support structures and deep foundations (driven and drilled piles) in accordance with local building codes and applicable standards.\nAssist in performing inspections for new foundation construction, including but not limited to deep and shallow foundations, subgrade preparation, support of excavation structures, underpinning systems, and pile load tests.\nPrepare daily logs and communicate investigation or construction progress with the office.\nAssist in preparing inspection logs and reports for construction approval and Code compliance.\nPerform other duties as requested.\nTravel Requirements\nTravel locally by public transportation, or with vehicle for equipment transport.\nTravel long-distance by air or train; overnight stays.\nTypical Physical Demands and Work Environment\nThe physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
