Head Women’s Basketball Coach

Position SummaryThe Head Women’s Basketball Coach’s responsibilities will include directing all phases of a competitive Basketball program.Reports to: Director of AthleticsEducation RequiredA desire to work in a Christian Higher Education atmosphere is necessary.Bachelor’s degree is required; master’s preferred.Experience RequiredCollegiate coaching experience preferred.Salary will be commensurate with experience.Minimum of three years (five preferred) of successful collegiate coaching experience or equivalent (head coaching preferred).DutiesDuties will include but are not limited to: recruiting, scheduling, practice and game administration, spiritual mentoring of players, academic advising, and budgetary control, other administrative duties as assigned by the athletic director, and promoting the academic success of the student-athlete.Create a safe environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development, motivation, and inspiration of students.Work directly with the Director of Athletics to ensure the success and safety of the program.Periodically work with the athletic trainers to develop rehabilitation programs for athletes who have been injured.Recommends purchase, maintenance, and repair of equipment and supplies, as deemed appropriate.Ability to model, live, and reinforce the school’s core values on and off the field of play with colleagues, scholar-athletes, parents, and the larger community.Contribute to brand awareness through community events, seasonal programs, camps, and clinicsContribute to the creation of daily/weekly social media contentProvide instruction that will benefit the students athletes skills and character.Other duties, as assigned by the Director of Athletics.Desired QualitiesHave a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be committed to serving Him and His church.Endorse without reservation our mission and standards of conduct.Other InformationSupervisory Responsibilities: Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach (Part-time)
