This position performs daily equipment and work area inspections, monitors equipment and systems for proper operation, and assists with construction, maintenance, and project activities both onsite and offsite.\n\nThe Project Technician works collaboratively with various departments, including Maintenance, Crushing, ADR, and the Laboratory, to support operational needs and project objectives. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, basic mathematical skills, and the ability to safely operate mobile equipment as needed. The Project Technician is expected to maintain a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, equipment reliability, and effective teamwork.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerforming daily equipment walk around and work area inspections to identify, minimize and correct safety hazards and keep equipment properly maintained.\nMonitoring equipment and systems to ensure proper operation.\nParticipate in the development of projects both onsite and offsite.\nParticipating in the construction of pilot leach pads and pilot plants.\nMonitoring pilot leach pads and pilot plants.\nAssist other areas like maintenance, crushing, ADR and lab.\nHas the ability to operate a backhoe, telehandler forklift, loader, dozer and rock breaker attached to an excavator will be an advantage.\nEffective communication skills, as well as interpersonal, problem solving, basic math skills, ability to inform others using radio communication or other means of communication.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nOne (1) year working in a crushing operation, ADR or similar environment preferred.\nExperience in other phases of gold ore processing preferred.\nDemonstrated ability to be selfdirected and work with minimum supervision required.\nAbility to stay alert and recognize possible hazardous conditions required.\nProven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadership model required.\nAbility to be an initial team member in a growing, fastpaced environment.\nValid Driver's License required.\nWork Environments/Physical Demands:\nClimbing Ladders/Stairs, walking over uneven ground, long periods of standing\nModerate to Heavy repetitive lifting to 50 lbs.\nRepetitive motion bending, stooping, kneeling.\nPPE required; respirators may be worn to perform specific tasks.\nExposure to noise and dust\nProlonged exposure to weather conditions (hot, cold, windy, dust), works at elevations more than six thousand feet and above.\nBenefits/Culture:\nHere at McEwen Mining Inc. our employees are what keep our business going.
