This position is on a non-live aboard Cutter Suction Dredge. The employee must be able to work 8 to 12 hour, rotating shifts. Must be able to pass a post offer physical exam and drug screening. Must be able to provide transportation to and from the jobsite(s). We recognize that our employees are Manson’s number one asset and the reason why we continue to execute benchmark work in the marine construction and dredging industry.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nAssists Chief/Watch Engineers with the installation, fabrication, maintenance, repair and replacement of equipment (engines, pumps, fixtures and misc. structures), may include activities such as welding, painting, cleaning, greasing and/or observation and inspection\nMaintains equipment logs through monitoring of various devices and record keeping systems: computers, meters, gauges and valves and helps ensure that machines and systems are in good running condition\nPerforms routine operation tasks with fueling and lubricating equipment such as hooking up hoses, cleaning, assisting with fuel transfers operations\nPerforms regular checks and visual inspections of equipment (engines, motors, pumps, batteries, gauges and valves)\nEnsures compliance with Manson’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.\nResponsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment as a condition of employment.\nAdditional duties may be assigned\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
