Transdev provides a broad range of services for the client’s autonomous driving testing and development efforts.\nThe Operations Manager acts as the Transdev operations liaison working with the client’s and Transdev employees. Evaluates and interacts with the vehicle drivers and their Operations team, to include coaching, mentoring, disciplinary, hiring, and termination as necessary. They are accountable for shift performance and compliance with processes, training, and system emergency responses. Assures coordination with other shifts and drives process improvements. Benefits vary by location.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupervise the daily activity of the Operations Supervisor (OS) to ensure efficient operation of the shift\nDrive special projects and programs completion assigned by the Senior Operations Manager (SOM)\nMay be assigned to attend meetings with the client to represent SOM or other functional managers\nCommunicate clearly with the different stakeholders, both Transdev management and the client accordingly\nSupport client’s operations leadership team in daily operations management of dispatch, including mission assignment, leading meetings, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders\nParticipate in Lean/Kaizen, and other Operational Excellence initiatives\nInterpret metrics, finds opportunities and implements actions to drive results\nEnsure compliance throughout the site to global process standards and works on continuous improvement initiatives\nPerforms all vehicle driver safety evaluation ride checks, observation of drivers while on route/test track, and prescribes the necessary retraining; Manage and administer the performance-based pay program for all subordinate employees. Involve the SOM for managers’ evaluations\nCoordinate, monitor and supervise the activities of subordinates. Informs other management personnel regarding operational/personnel problems as appropriate and offers ideas towards resolution\nEnsure daily operation processes are conducted as expected, including, but not limited to: assignments, start of shift egress, out of office management, pre-briefs and debriefs\nResponds to service problems including outages, rerouting, accidents and incidents with the goal of restoration of interrupted service and testing; supports drivers in preparing accident reports including post-accident drug and alcohol testing according to policy\nInteracts with and assists passengers as necessary\nInvestigates and responds to unsafe location/situation reports; makes recommendations and/or changes to resolve the unsafe situation\nDevelops and schedules program work plan in accordance with specifications in conjunction with client staff; oversees daily operations and coordinates activities of program; determines priorities.\nMaintains routine records and performs a variety of clerical work activities related to the property operation\nMaintains high degree of confidentiality of all information\nAll other duties as assigned\nRequired Education and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 2+ years of operations experience leading teams\nPreferred Education: Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field is a plus\n2 or more years of relevant experience desired, but not necessary; however, some supervisory experience, required\nRequired Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):\nKnowledge of service area and ability to read a map/digital map directions\nAbility to use a computer to generate reports and schedules\nAbility to supervise others and make quality business decisions regarding operations\nAbility to read, understand, and interpret system operating rules, regulations, policies, phases and routes\nGood written and oral communication skills\nAbility to organize and perform work efficiently; strong analytical skills and attention to details\nTravel up to 20% of the time\nMust be on call and responsive for 24/7 operations\nWork flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights and/or holidays including standing and walking for up to 10 hours during shifts\nPhysical Requirements:\nLong periods of standing, walking, and sitting\nUse hands to finger; handle or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders\nOccasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl\nMajority of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities\nMay work in extreme heat and cold, and in damp environment with moderate noise\nWork is occasionally accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a computer\nMust be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds\nMust use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.\nPre-Employment Requirements:\nMust be 21 years of age\nAll Transdev employees must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
