Job Description SummaryThe Supply Chain Controllership Analyst will be a key team member of the Technology & Operations (T&O) controllership team, supporting GE Aerospace's closing and reporting processes, including activities for an accelerated and simplified monthly close to deliver accurate, timely and GAAP-compliant financial information for use by internal and external stakeholders. The selected candidate will work closely with the Finance teams to provide operational accounting guidance, maintain financial and operational internal controls, and to complete financial closing and reporting activities. In addition to these responsibilities, the candidate will support accounting process simplification and other strategic controllership and finance initiatives.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesProvide timely and accurate financial reporting information for use within and outside of the GE Aerospace Supply Chain divisionPrepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and support preparation of quarterly balance sheet review files, specifically consolidating and providing commentary for the core and affiliate Supply Chain balance sheetsPrepare account reconciliations in accordance with GE Aerospace account reconciliation standardsProvide operational accounting guidance to core and affiliate Supply Chain sitesEnsure internal controls over financial reporting are designed and operating effectively in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)Drive consistent adherence to US GAAP, GE GAP, Government Accounting rules and GE Aerospace SOPs across the Supply Chain, consulting with the Supply Chain Controller as neededSupport adoption of FLIGHT DECK through consistent application of Lean principlesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university or college3-5 years of experience in AccountingDesired CharacteristicsCertified Public AccountantExcellent teamwork skills; collaborative approach with peers and team membersPrevious experience with inventory cost accountingStrong analytical and organizational abilityProven history of delivering results both consistently and timelyAbility to anticipate, communicate, report and resolve challengesInternally motivated to enhance existing processes and drive results in a matrixed organizationProven capability to execute several projects simultaneouslyThe base pay range for this position is $ 86,000.00 - 115,000.00 The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary.
