Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3 year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.\nProficiency in spoken English language.\nAbility to travel based on business needs.\n\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL\n\nRequired:\n\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.\nTen or more years of progressive electrical engineering experience within power generation, energy, oil and gas, microgrids, or heavy industrial environments.\nAn equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.\n\nPreferred:\n\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license.\nFive or more years of experience leading, supervising, or providing technical direction to electrical engineering teams.\nExtensive experience in medium voltage power system design (specifically 13.8 kV), including generators, transformers, switchgear, breakers, bus systems, grounding, and auxiliary power distribution.\nKnowledge of microgrid architecture, Power Management Systems (PMS), and generator paralleling/control systems (synchronization, load sharing, load shedding, and islanding).\nExpertise with SEL protection relays and automation platforms, including the development and review of relay coordination studies (settings, time current coordination, and differential protection).\nProficiency with ETAP or equivalent power system analysis software for power flow, short circuit, protective device coordination, arc flash, and system stability studies.\nExperience with gas turbine packages (LM2500, LM6000), reciprocating engines, and GE related controls programs.\nExperience supporting the full lifecycle of electrical systems, including equipment specification, FAT, commissioning, energization, and technical troubleshooting.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES\n\nAttend, participate in, and successfully complete scheduled New Hire Safety training and annual recertification.\nSet team priorities, delegate effectively, and manage workload distribution to meet operational and project deadlines.\nCoach, mentor, and develop team members across varying experience levels.\nManage cross functional communication, ensuring alignment between engineering, operations, and field service teams.\nDrive a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the team.\nDevelop, review, and technically approve electrical engineering deliverables, including single line diagrams, protection one lines, three lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, grounding plans, electrical calculations, and protection philosophies.\nDemonstrate strong understanding of power flow and system operating scenarios for multi generator installations, including normal operation, N 1 conditions, equipment outages, islanded operation, and varying generation/load configurations.\nDemonstrate strong technical leadership, problem solving, communication, and decision making skills with the ability to manage multiple engineering priorities across multidisciplinary teams.\nRemain knowledgeable of and compliant with Active Learner, Paycom, KPA, and other company mandated systems.\nQuickly learn and navigate company platforms.\nEfficiently use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT\n\nThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
