Job SummaryThe Quality/Test Engineer will support a Quality Management team by performing internal auditing activities and helping drive continuous improvement within a fast-paced foundry and machining environment. This role will plan and conduct internal quality audits, evaluate quality-management-system performance, and identify trends and non-conformances. The engineer will also participate in gap analysis efforts and collaborate with the broader Quality Management team to identify and implement effective solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and conduct internal quality audits. Generate reports on quality-management-system status and identify significant trends within quality data. Identify, analyze, and help resolve non-conformances. Develop sampling procedures and documentation for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. Evaluate the precision and accuracy of production, testing, measurement, and analytical equipment. Collaborate with Quality Management team members on audits, gap analysis, and continuous-improvement initiatives. Support quality-control activities that may include process control, product evaluation, reliability, metrology, and testing. Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; internship experience is accepted toward the experience requirement. Internal Auditing Certification required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Basic experience with engineering-related computer applications, including CAD. Strong communication, critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred QualificationsExperience auditing ISO 9001, ISO 17025, or comparable quality management systems. Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification. Lead auditor experience. Experience working in a foundry, machining, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment.
