You will serve as the technical anchor for the application and orchestration layer, owning the code quality, architectural decisions, and system design of new design systems and functionality. You will partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering Directors to evolve our platform, personally engineering the complex, high-performance server-side infrastructure required to support fast chat interactions and agentic workflows. In this role, you will be a leader who can balance defining a long-term technical roadmap for a paradigm-shifting infrastructure and dive deep into code to drive high velocity, stability, and quality.\n\nKey responsibilities:\n\nArchitect the Gemini app serving and orchestration layers. Write the design docs and define the interfaces that ensure the codebase is scalable, modular, and capable of supporting rapid innovation.\n\nDesign and implement robust CI/CD pipelines and experimentation platforms. Build the tooling that enables the wider engineering team to utilize A/B testing and feature flags to safely and quickly iterate.\n\nDrive application performance initiatives (performance, reliability, efficiency). Debug complex production issues and advocate for code quality standards to ensure the infrastructure scales to our product needs.\n\nAct as the strategic technical counterpart to product and design leadership.
