This role involves supervising staff, developing engaging curriculum and activity calendars, and ensuring high-quality, person-centered services. A key responsibility is promoting a safe, supportive, and enriching environment that fosters the wellbeing and growth of the individuals served. Location: Joliet, ILHours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PMPay: $51,000 REPORTS TO:Director of Community Day Services NETWORK OR DEPARTMENT:Community Day Services (Network 6) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Provide leadership and direct supervision to all assigned staff and program participants.Participate in the recruitment, training, evaluation, and scheduling of employees.Develop and implement program policies and procedures that support self-directed services and measurable outcomes.Conduct weekly team meetings to share updates, promote communication, and ensure alignment across services.Oversee the development and implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs); monitor progress toward goals and objectives.Complete monthly reports, maintain accurate documentation, and enforce adherence to agency policies and program goals.Ensure compliance with local safety codes and maintain required certifications.Collaborate with other agency services, including supported employment and residential programs.Demonstrate and advocate for the agency’s values and principles.Continuously identify and implement strategies for improving program and agency effectiveness.Perform additional duties as assigned.Must be available to work some weekends during plant sales. SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Proficient in computer use and digital communication tools.Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Skilled in curriculum design, implementation, and instructional delivery.Experience in teaching and evaluating learning outcomes.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.Competency in developing and accessing program performance metrics. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to lift over 40 pounds unassisted from floor to waist.Capable of pushing/pulling loads up to 75 pounds.Able to perform deep knee squats and push wheelchairs weighing up to 200 pounds.Ability to remain seated or standing for prolonged periods.Frequent physical activity including driving, lifting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and repetitive motion. QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Human Services, or a related field.Minimum of one year of managerial experience.At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.Gardening experience is a plus, but not required. CLASSIFICATION:Exempt  DISCLAIMER:Duties and responsibilities may change, and new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
