In this role, you will design, create, and implement Java-based big data analytical solutions.\nTo be successful as a senior Java developer, you should have a specialist level of understanding and skill in developing a broad range of applications and proprietary solutions. A top-notch senior Java developer will be comfortable working independently and be able to deliver top-quality, error-free work on time.\n\nSenior Java Developer Responsibilities\nArchitecting and implementing enterprise-grade Java-based applications.\nWorking with a team to create high-quality coding that functions according to specifications.\nEnsuring that written code fulfills or exceeds the project’s objectives.\nwith other team members in the project.\nIdentifying and resolving immediate and potential issues with applications.\nParticipating in group meetings to discuss projects and objectives.\nAssisting, mentoring, and collaborating with other developers with troubleshooting, debugging, and coding.\nMeeting deadlines on fast-paced deliverables.\nSenior Java Developer Requirements\nDegree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.\nAt least 8 years of experience in Java-based programming.\nSignificant coding skills in Java, with other languages being a major plus.\nExceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.\nKnowledge of current frameworks, SDKs, APIs, and libraries including Spring and Java 11 or greater.\nExperience with multi-threaded programming.\nExcellent written and verbal communication.\nGood organizational and time-management skills.\nA strong portfolio of top-class coding and builds to your name.\nAbility to work with other developers and assist junior team members.\nMeticulous at both analysis and execution.\nDesirable Skills\nExperience with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases.\nExperience with database query optimization using execution plans.\nExperience with profiling tools such as JProfiler to improve performance and detect run-time issues.\nExperience with AngularJS.\nExperience with media and text exploitation methods such as NLP and image processing.\n\nSemantic AI is an equal opportunity employer.
