If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.\nJob Summary\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a SMT Process Engineer located in Austin, TX.\nReporting to the Process Engineering Manager the SMT Process Engineer is in charge for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to hold up a manufacturing organization.\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nDevelop and optimize SMT processes including printing, placement, reflow, AOI/SPI.\nTroubleshoot defects and lead root cause and corrective action activities.\nCustomer facing experience and technicians training on SMT processes\nSupport NPI builds, DFM reviews, and process validation.\nMaintain process documentation and establish process controls (SPC, DOE).\nCollaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure stable line performance.\nLead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/6σ tools.\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)\n4–6 years SMT process engineering experience.\nProcesses test runs and prepares records (breakdown events, scrap, etc.), charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products.\nKnowledge of SMT equipment and IPC standards (IPC A 610, J STD 001).\nStrong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.\nExperience with equipment such as ASM, DEK/MPM, BTU/Heller, Koh Young, Nordson.\nLean Six Sigma or IPC certification preferred\nJS21\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
