Scientific Support Specialist

A company is looking for a Scientific and Technical Support Lead to provide support to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Key Responsibilities Review, analyze, and synthesize scientific data to determine environmental impacts on biological resources and aquatic habitats Write biological opinions and responses related to action agencies' assessments for listed species and habitats Provide technical assistance and feedback to action agencies regarding biological assessments and permit applications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and three years of experience, or a Master's degree in a relevant field Knowledge of salmonid life cycles and habitat requirements Experience with ESA and MSA regulations and document preparation Experience assessing impacts of human activities on marine species and habitats Experience working with tribal governments is preferred
