This individual must maintain a professional, and welcoming demeanor, at all times (wearing a uniform and name tag). This position covers some evening and night shifts such as 3:00 pm- 11:00 pm or 11:00 pm- 7:00 am, as well as some weekends and holidays. There will be possible overtime.\nKey Roles/Responsibilities:\nMust efficiently serve guest needs during all stages of guest contact (pre-arrival, arrival, stay, and departure) for exceptional guest service and security.\nWear a uniform and name tag at all times on property.\nAssist all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, whenever possible going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction.\nGreet, register and process guests promptly upon arrival and departure, to ensure guest satisfaction.\nMake and confirm reservations.\nPost charges, such as those for rooms, food, or telephone calls, to ledgers.\nThoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit and cash-handling policies and procedures.\nKnow room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.\nAnswer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.\nReview accounts and charges with guests during the check out process.\nUse suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and promote other services of the hotel.\nUse proper telephone etiquette.\nKeep supervisor informed of all problems or unusual matters.\nPerform other duties as requested or required by supervisors (e.g., breakfast setup, laundry folding, room inspections).\nKnow all safety and emergency procedures and be aware of accident prevention policies.\nMaintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the front desk and lobby areas.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Education, Experience, and Qualifications:\nHotel: 1 year (preferred)\nLearning – Ability to quickly learn front desk technical procedures, such as: check-in, check-out, selling skills, computer operations, telephone operations, etc.\nMulti-Tasking – Ability to work well on multiple tasks at the same time.\nFriendly & Cheerful – Ability to be friendly and cheerful.\nStress – Ability to cope with stress, showing self-control during excitement.\nWritten & Verbal Communication – Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.\nOral Comprehension – Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented.\nSpeech Clarity – Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.\nNumber Facility – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly.\nForesight – Ability to anticipate the needs of a guest or team member and act accordingly.\nTactful.\nMust be able to speak English.\nBilingual (preferred)\nMust have dependable transportation.\nWorking Conditions:\nProlonged periods standing at front desk and working on a computer.\nMust be able to lift 15 pounds at times.\nPositions self to install equipment, including under desks.\nMoves throughout the building to assist guests.\nMust be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.\nMust be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.\nMust be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.\nMust be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.\nBenefits:\nCompetitive Compensation Package\nMedical + Dental + Vision Coverage\n401K + Company Match\nLife Insurance + Long Term Disability Coverage – 100% Company Paid\nHealth Savings Account (HSA)\nGym Reimbursement Program\nTuition Reimbursement Program\nWellness Check Program - Insurance Premium Discounts\nLife Assistance Resources\nPaid Holidays\nPaid Time Off (PTO)\nThis job description should not be interpreted as an exhaustive list of responsibilities or as an employment agreement between the employer and the employee.
