This includes compliance with regulatory requirements and advising on best practices in production safety.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage environmental, health & safety consulting service for client productions\nEvaluate production concepts, scripts, and pitches for safety and environmental concerns\nCollaborate with Production Executives, Producers, and Unit Production Managers to mitigate safety risks\nSupport productions in planning and execution phases; assess safety needs and secure vendors\nAttend technical scouts and production meetings\nDevelop and distribute the Production Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)\nMentor other safety professionals\nEvaluate sets, stages, and locations for safety issues and recommend corrective actions\nRespond to and investigate production incidents and emergencies\nCoordinate and deliver EHS training to production employees\nPromote safety culture and injury reduction initiatives\nMaintain relationships with industry safety bodies and regulatory agencies\nResolve safety issues quickly during production\nCollaborate with risk managers and insurers on loss prevention\nResearch applicable regulations based on filming locations\nLiaise with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders\nRequired Qualifications\nMust be local to the LA area\nOSHA 30 certification\nExperience in studio or on-location production environments\nDeep understanding of TV and film production practices, equipment, and safety considerations\nExcellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills\nStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment\nProficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom, WebEx\nAbility to work under pressure and handle confidential matters\nAbility to work at heights (catwalks, ladders, roofs, scaffolding, etc.)\nCapable of handling tasks that demand physical strength and comfortable working outdoors in diverse weather conditions\nAbility to travel both domestically and internationally\nMust have or be able to obtain valid documentation for international travel\nRecommended Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in safety management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field\nBCSP (ASP, CSP, SME, etc.) or COHN, COHN-S certification\nFamiliarity with applicable federal, regional, and local EHS regulations (OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, etc.)\nFacilities EHS and Production Safety hybrid experience\nCSATF Safety Advisor Training\nCertified Asbestos Building Inspector\nOSHA Certified Fall Protection Competent Person\nFirst Aid/CPR\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nHybrid role with regular on-set presence required\nDomestic and international travel may be required\nReliable transportation or ability to self-report to and from work required for local hires\nAbility to:\nWalk for extended periods and sit for long durations\nWork at heights (catwalks, ladders, roofs, scaffolding, etc.)\nPerform physically demanding tasks in diverse outdoor weather conditions\nEqual Opportunity Statement\nVigilant EHS Solutions, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
