We're seeking a dynamic Bridges & Structures Engineer to join our busy and expanding experienced Croydon Bridges team.\n\nAs a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will have the following daily responsibilities:\n\nUndertake rail and/or roadbridge and associated structures engineering schemes from inspection and assessment, feasibility through to detailed design.\n\nHands on technical design of road and/or rail structures.\n\nHands on assessment of road and/or rail structures.\n\nAssist with the commercial and financial control of your project.\n\nSupervision of graduate engineers and technicians.\n\nPlanning and project management.\n\nProduction of tenders including quality documentation and costings.\n\nReport writing and production of technical reports and documents.\n\nBenefits\nAnd let's not forget about the perks at AECOM. Here’s what we’re looking for:\n\nDegree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Ideally educated to MSc level or equivalent.\n\nChartered status or near Chartered/ Incorporated status with appropriate level of experience (with the Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers)\n\nCommitment to working a minimum of 2 days per week in our Croydon Office.\n\nStrong technical skills in bridge engineering and a keen commitment to quality with a ‘right first time’ approach to your own work.\n\nGood working knowledge of structural Eurocodes, National Highways (DMRB & MCHW) and Network Rail standards.\n\nGood working knowledge of structural analysis software – Lusas, MIDAS, Sofistik or SBD preferred.\n\nExperience in the production of calculations/drawings, risk assessments, specifications and reporting; as well as interdisciplinary review on multi-discipline projects (through e.g. a good understanding of the key interfaces with road and rail).\n\nWe celebrate diversity, including neurodiversity, and believe it enriches our team.
