Syntax has offices worldwide, and partners with Oracle, SAP, AWS, Microsoft, IBM, and other global technology leaders.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nProvision, build and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure in a multi-customer environment.\nProvision, build and maintain the monitoring and alerting infrastructure in a multi-customer environment.\nRespond to and resolve 2nd and 3rd level incidents and problems across Virtual Server infrastructure within agreed SLA’s and change management processes.\nDesign and deliver Virtual infrastructure in line with enterprise standards, principles, and policies.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the Infrastructure and Applications areas.\nImplement pro-active preventative maintenance processes and procedures.\nMaintain operational documentation including configuration management database.\nTroubleshoot Complex issues.\nTechnical skills\nRequired:\nMust have knowledge and experience in VMware vSphere:\nVM deployment, customization, and automation (Orchestrator)\nvCenter Support and configuration\nvRealize Suite (Automation, Operations, Log Insight, Lifecyle Manager)\nVSS and vDS support and configuration according to Network Topology\nCustomization and tuning of vSphere environment.\nESXi setup and configuration\nTroubleshooting Performance issues\nKnowledge on Zerto, installation and configuration skills\nExperience with scripting and automation. The ideal candidate would have advanced experience writing and reading scripts in Powershell/PowerCLI\nCandidate has experience in multiple enterprise level hardware platforms:\nHPE hardware (Blades and Chassis both C-Class and Synergy, DL Series), OneView\nExperience with Cisco Intersight to manage UCS chassis and blade systems.\nLinux OS experience (Oracle, Redhat)\n\nOptional Experience:\nWindows Server\nOVM/KVM\nExperience with Java script and Ansible\nEnterprise Storage (3Par, Pure)\nHyperconverged solutions like Nutanix, VxRail and Hyperflex\nSoft skills\nHave strong inter-personal and communication skills: capable of training users in complex topics and making presentations to internal groups.\nAble to write intricate system and user documentation.
