If you're an enthusiastic and proactive engineer who excels in collaborative, dynamic environments and is driven to make a tangible difference, we encourage you to apply!\nResponsibilities Include but are not limited to:\nDesign and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).\nPerform engineering analysis, including stress analysis, thermal analysis, fluid dynamics, and vibration analysis, using FEA and CFD tools.\nSelect appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerances for mechanical designs.\nDevelop and execute test plans and procedures to validate the performance and reliability of mechanical systems.\nTroubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during development, testing, and production phases.\nCollaborate effectively with electrical, software, and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems.\nCreate and maintain detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.\nStay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices.\nParticipate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.\nContribute to continuous improvement efforts for design processes and methodologies.\nPotentially mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. (Permitted experience exchange: High School and 6 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 4 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree)\n5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design and analysis, preferably with a focus on electronic systems.\nProficiency in using 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for design and documentation.\nKnowledge of material selection, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.\nDesired Qualifications:\nMaster's degree in Mechanical Engineering.\nFamiliarity with environmental testing standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810) and EMI/RFI shielding principles.\nExperience designing mechanical solutions for military, aerospace, or other harsh environment applications.\nKnowledge of cybersecurity principles and their implications for hardware design.\nFamiliarity with TEMPEST requirements or other security-related design considerations.\nExperience with data center cooling or high-performance computing thermal management.\nUnderstanding of cable management best practices for secure environments.\nClearance Requirements:\nMust have a current/active TS/SCI\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
