Location: Santa Clara, CA Job Type: Full-time, year-round Shift/Schedule: Rotating schedule up to 12 hours, on-call as needed. Key responsibilities include: Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance. Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as filter changes, battery system preventive maintenance, rack and diesel generator PMs. Perform root cause analysis for operational issues. Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements. Ensure all personnel on-site follow safety protocols. Take daily operational readings and provide metrics reporting to senior engineers. Work on-call and rotate schedule as needed. Perform basic support concepts such as ticketing systems, root cause analysis, task prioritization, change management creation, writing procedures, and building management systems. Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs. Perform rack installs, rack decommissioning, operational readings, and facility management. Provide key performance indicators to senior engineers. Manage contractors, sub‐contractors, and vendors on-site, ensuring compliance with established practices and local legislation. Maintain data center critical infrastructure equipment ensuring 99.99% uptime. Walk job sites in uneven terrain, perform construction tasks while on a ladder, lift up to 39 pounds unassisted, and handle physical tasks throughout the day. Basic qualifications: 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience. 2+ years of data center engineering experience. 2+ years of relevant work experience. Preferred qualifications: 4+ years of data center engineering experience. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience in data center engineering. Ability to perform physical tasks all day without becoming overly tired. Benefits & Compensation: Base salary range $35.29/hr - $44.11/hr based on experience.
