If you thrive in a fast-paced construction environment and are passionate about solving challenges while maintaining environmental stewardship, we'd love to hear from you.\n\nResponsibilities:\nOversee Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and National Pollutant Prevention Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits, ensuring compliance with water quality regulations.\nConduct site inspections to ensure compliance with SWPPP requirements and project BMPs.\nImplement and maintain storm water pollution prevention measures on active construction projects.\nCoordinate with project management and field operations regarding erosion control, sediment control, tracking control, and water pollution prevention requirements.\nStrong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to prepare high quality permit applications, storm water compliance documentation, inspection reports, rain event action plans, and BMP maintenance logs.\nPerform required uploads and reporting in the California SMARTS system.\nCoordinate with subcontractors and field personnel to correct non-compliant conditions.\nAssist with preparation and implementation of Water Pollution Control Plans and SWPPPs.\nSupport regulatory inspections and respond to corrective action items.\nMonitor dewatering, concrete washout, material storage, and other construction activities for permit compliance.\nSampling and Analysis as needed.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to navigate complex permitting processes and work effectively with stakeholders from various agencies and organizations.\nQualifications:\nCurrent California QSP (Qualified SWPPP Practitioner) certification required.\n3+ years of experience in construction storm water compliance, preferably on heavy civil, pipeline, grading, or public works projects.\nKnowledge of California Construction General Permit requirements and BMP implementation.\nExperience with SMARTS reporting and storm water documentation.\nAbility to read construction plans and specifications.\nStrong communication and documentation skills.\nValid California driver license.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience on public works or heavy civil construction projects.\nQSD certification preferred but not required.\nExperience with dewatering compliance and water discharge permits preferred.\n\nNot Required but a PLUS:\nPE license\nadvanced engineering degrees\n\nTo learn more about OHLA USA, visit our website www.ohla-usa.com/\n\nCompensation: The base salary rate being offered for this position is USD $85,000.00 per year to USD $95,000.00 per year.
