We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.General Purpose:Oversees and maintains all facets of the golf operation. Provides professional support, direction, management, training, and leadership to golf staff associates. Promotes and nurtures customer relations to enhance the overall golf experience. Responsible for day-to-day golf operations.Key Responsibilities:Oversees golf operations including tournaments, rules, tee sheet activity, merchandise inventory, range operations, player services, and cart fleet; may assist with Food and Beverage operationsAssists in the development and day-to-day tracking of the budget and business plan; helps control expenses in relation to revenuesCreates a customer service–oriented atmosphere that promotes the game of golf and meets the needs of members; ensures associates provide a high level of serviceWorks closely with the Superintendent and Food and Beverage Manager to ensure timely communication and strong interdepartmental relationshipsPrepares work schedules and assigns areas of responsibilityPerforms payroll tasks, reviews for accuracy, and monitors hours to maximize productivity and minimize overtimeProvides leadership and vision to golf staff, developing team members for career advancementProvides golf instruction through lessons and clinics to members and guestsResponsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problemsManages department members including, but not limited to: Assistant and Associate Golf Professionals, Teaching Professionals, Tournament Coordinator, and Guest Services AttendantsEnsures effective orientation and training for new associates; develops ongoing training programsMonitors business volume forecasts and plans accordingly for staffing, productivity, and costsResponsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service standards to achieve guest satisfactionIncorporates safe work practices in job performanceRegular and reliable attendancePerforms other duties as requiredEducation/Experience:Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (multi-course facilities may require more experience).Physical Demands:Regularly stands, walks, and sits. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, or crouches. Frequently uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks or hears; and tastes or smells. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.Environment/Noise:Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather). Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
