This role combines engineering expertise with team leadership responsibilities to optimize production processes, reduce cycle times, minimize waste, and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout Tex-Tech Coatings operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and implement programs that improve producibility, reduce cycle times, and minimize manufacturing losses.\nConduct process and product audits to ensure compliance with company quality standards and recommend corrective actions when needed.\nMonitor manufacturing performance metrics and implement new techniques to improve quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.\nIdentify, recommend, and implement process improvements that enhance cost performance, delivery schedules, and customer satisfaction.\nSupport product strategy, development efforts, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products.\nPartner with the Manufacturing Manager to manage production schedules, order raw materials, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and provide direction to operating teams.\nShare supervisory responsibilities for production associates, including coaching, training, attendance management, and performance oversight.\nSupport continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives across operations.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field).\nExperience\nExperience in manufacturing engineering, process optimization, and quality assurance.\nDemonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience working with ERP systems and CMMS/EAM platforms such as SAP PM, Maximo, or Infor EAM preferred.\nProven ability to analyze data, solve problems, and implement sustainable process improvements.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nEffective leadership, coaching, and team development abilities.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to read and interpret safety policies, operating procedures, and work instructions in English.\nAbility to prepare reports and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and cross-functional teams.\nProficiency in basic mathematics, measurements, and simple algebra.\nAbility to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions while troubleshooting routine manufacturing issues.\nStrong focus on quality, productivity, continuous improvement, and workplace safety.\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nManufacturing environment with forklift traffic, moving machinery, concrete floors, and varying temperatures.\nExposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional electrical components.\nWork may be performed near freight-moving equipment.\nModerate to high noise levels; hearing protection required in designated areas.\nNon-climate-controlled environment subject to seasonal temperature changes.\nRequired PPE includes safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and respirators as needed.\nAbility to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.\nVision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.\nWhy Join Tex-Tech?\nAt Tex-Tech, you'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge materials and technologies while contributing to products that support critical aerospace, thermal protection, and industrial applications.
