Legal Assistant / Paralegal (Litigation) needed in Tampa, FL! Tampa, FL (4 days onsite / 1 day remote)Salary: Up to $72,000 + Year-End BonusAbout the OpportunityLaw Firm is seeking a highly experienced and resilient Legal Assistant/Paralegalto join our Tampa litigation team. This is not an entry-level role-we handle high-dollar, complex, and catastrophic injury cases where the stakes are high and the pace is fast.This position is ideal for a professional who thrives under pressure, takes pride in producing meticulous work, and is confident supporting attorneys in demanding litigation environments.What You'll DoRequesting, tracking, and managing records via subpoena, working closely with record retrieval companies and process serversPreparing detailed medical chronologies and specials chartsfrom complex medical and billing recordsDrafting, proofreading, and e-filingdocuments in Florida State and Federal CourtsManaging attorney calendars and docketing critical deadlinesCoordinating and scheduling depositions, mediations, hearings, and medical examinationsAssisting with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness materials, and trial bindersMaintaining and organizing case files and communications with clients, carriers, providers, and opposing counselServing as a professional point of contact on sensitive, high-stakes mattersEnsuring strict confidentiality of all client informationTeam Structure:You'll work within a collaborative pod model(Attorney, Law Clerk, Paralegal/Secretary), supporting a practice focused heavily on general liability defense and trucking accident cases.What You Bring4+ years of current litigation experience(Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or hybrid role)Insurance defense experience strongly preferredProven ability to manage a high-volume workload independentlyStrong experience with Florida State & Federal Court e-filingSolid understanding of Florida court proceduresExperience reviewing and summarizing medical recordsProficiency in Microsoft 365and legal case management systemsExceptional organization, attention to detail, and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication abilitiesProfessionalism, adaptability, and the ability to take and apply feedbackEqual Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected VeteransThe Know Your Rights poster is available here:https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/2023-06/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12.pdfThe pay transparency policy is available here:https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/ofccp/pdf/pay-transp_%20English_formattedESQA508c.pdfFor temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.We are committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
