This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing desktop engineering and enterprise application management, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 and a complex application ecosystem.This individual will play a critical role in delivering a high-quality, reliable, and secure user experience, while leading a team of engineers and driving modern endpoint management initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & StrategyLead, mentor, and develop a team of desktop engineers and application specialistsDrive a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvementPartner with IT leadership to define and execute the end-user computing roadmapModern Desktop & Microsoft 365Own and enhance the modern desktop experience leveraging Microsoft 365 (Intune, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint Online, Edge)Manage configuration, governance, and optimization of Office applications and integrationsDrive adoption of cloud-first and modern endpoint management practicesApplication Engineering & Lifecycle ManagementManage full lifecycle of enterprise applications including packaging, testing, deployment, patching, and upgradesEnsure seamless delivery of application updates with minimal user disruptionSupport integrations and customization across business-critical applicationsEscalation & Performance ManagementOwn Level 3 escalations, driving root cause analysis and long-term resolutionMonitor system and application performance, proactively identifying and addressing issuesPartner with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex technical challengesPlatform Engineering & DeliveryDesign and implement scalable desktop and application solutions across physical and virtual environmentsManage policies and configurations via Intune, Group Policy, and related toolsMaintain thorough technical documentation and operational proceduresQualifications:10+ years of experience in desktop engineering, application engineering, or systems engineeringPrior experience leading or managing technical teamsStrong expertise in Windows OS, Group Policy, registry, and Microsoft IntuneExperience with Microsoft 365 (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Edge, Office apps)Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows ServerExperience with enterprise troubleshooting and monitoring tools (e.g., ControlUp, Perfmon, Wireshark)Experience with large law firm environment applications like; iManage.
