This position is supporting United States Navy programs specializing in Software Engineering. This position requires a candidate with strong problem-solving skills focused on software development and integration for United States Navy ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare) programs. The candidate should be a well-rounded software developer with broad experience, but with a focused interest in Linux including security, containers, scripting, and other Linux related work. Candidate must be able to work within a team environment. This is an onsite position that will be in Manassas, VA.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\n\nPerform work in an agile development team and will be responsible for supporting elements of the design/development effort.\nYou will be involved in the development of custom OS solutions for our systems. This includes taking Red Hat Linux and customizing it to fit the needs of our customers.\nYou will be involved in applying Cyber Security hardening to the Linux OS.\nYou will be involved in creating Virtual Machines and containers in support of the customer OSes.\nYou will be heavily involved in the creation of shell scripts and Ansible Playbooks in support of developing/deploying the OS.\nYou will be involved in the automation of the development/deployment of the Linux OS as well as finding ways to inject DevOps into the development process.\nYou will be involved in some development of code (Java/C++/Python) to support the program.
