It supervises insurance and securities business based on volume, using technical knowledge to reduce financial risk and maintain regulatory compliance. The position ensures fair treatment of customers, seeks quality improvements, and requires basic investment and insurance expertise as well as sound judgment for risk management.\n\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\nCoordinates reviews of business transactions by obtaining missing suitability information from financial representatives or clients, and ensures unit compliance with review time standards.\nReviews, analyzes, updates, and retains various reports needed to maintain regulatory compliance, including running illustrations and/or ordering statements for distribution to members.\nProvides follow-up support for pending new business and service cases requiring a suitability review.\nCoordinates incoming and outgoing correspondence for the unit.\nOrganizes and distributes work to principals.\nUnder the direction of the managers or BPAs, pulls regulatory information for upcoming assessments using corporate research tools, the SMMART system, Image Query and/or other means.\nDelivers professional, high-quality service to new customers, existing members, Wealth Advisors, Financial Representatives, and other field personnel.\nMaintains an understanding of Thrivent’s investment products and services, affiliated operating systems and applicable operational policies and procedures.\nRequired Job Qualifications\nCollege degree or equivalent work experience required.\n0-1 year working in the financial services/compliance industry or organization required.\nDemonstrates proficient levels of analytical skills.\nPossesses basic knowledge of FINRA/SEC/IA/MSRB rules and regulations and the ability to operate within them as required.\nPreferred Qualifications\nDemonstrates basic knowledge of Thrivent and non-proprietary investment products, including mutual funds, variable universal life, variable annuities, 529 plans, and the broader financial services industry.\nAbility to recognize trends, process gaps, or recurring issues and suggest improvements.\nExperience collaborating with principals, field representatives, and business partners.\nDemonstrated customer-service mindset when supporting members, advisors, and internal partners.\n\nPay Transparency\n\nThrivent’s long-term growth depends on attracting, rewarding, and retaining people who are committed to helping others thrive with purpose.
