You will be at the forefront of exploring and capitalizing on emerging market opportunities. Your responsibilities include engaging in the design, development, integration, and testing of embedded software applications, with a focus on Future Vertical Lift applications and defense systems. This position is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of business strategies related to new technologies and adjacent sectors.\nEssential Responsibilities\nIn this role, you will:\nLead programs through the entire systems engineering lifecycle IAW ARP4754A , DO-178, and DO-254 including execution of systems engineering technical reviews (internal and external).\nDefine, validate, and verify system requirements, including initial integration of software and hardware using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches.\nGenerate and allocate system functional requirements and functional architecture into efficient software and firmware architectures utilizing MBSE.\nDefine data interfaces and component interactions utilizing model-based approaches for configuration of components and systems.\nDevelop innovative technical solutions utilizing the full capabilities of GE Aviation Systems on development programs and proposals.\nInteract with customer engineering organizations to define and shape requirements for future platforms and systems.\nDefine and maintain program plans for execution of systems processes IAW ARP4754.\nDevelop new tools and automation scripts in support of MBSE objectives.\nSupport configuration control of model-based artifacts for development assurance objective satisfaction.\nQualifications/Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in EE, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or similar\n2 years’ Experience in MBSE engineering development\n2 years’ Experience with a modeling language (UPDM, SysML, UML, etc.)\n2 years’ Experience with MBSE tooling (Cameo, Sparx, Rhapsody, etc.)\nEligibility Requirements:\nAbility & Willingness to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance.\nThis position requires U.S. citizenship status.\nDesired Characteristics:\nKnowledge of aviation systems development processes including ARP4754A or similar.\nExperience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysML in Cameo/NoMagic tool for the design and verification of avionics-based systems.\nExperience with scripting in Python, JavaScript, Groovy, etc.\nKnowledge of the key aspects of developing and maintaining of a Product Line.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nIndependent problem solving.\nAbility to multi-task and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.\nThe base pay range for this position is $95,000.00 - $127,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
