This position requires a combination of Process Control Optimization expertise, Alarm Management knowledge, Operational Technology (OT) Information Risk Management skills, and Proficiency in AVEVA PI Software operational data maintenance and updates.\nResponsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:\nDesign and implement process control strategies to optimize plant operations, ensuring compliance with Chevron standards.\nProvide technical leadership in process control optimization projects and initiatives.\nDevelop and maintain documentation for process control systems and procedures, including control narratives, interlock and alarm lists.\nServe as Chevron REG SME for PI System and associated production data historian applications and provide leadership to the BU on best practices associated with PI / data historian applications\nConfiguration and management of operational data within AVEVA PI software, including interfaces with external data sources and sinks as well as development of PI displays and reports.\nConduct OT Information Risk Assessments and develop mitigation strategies to protect control systems and data, in line with Chevron Policy 575, ISA 62443, and NIST 800-53 standards.\nParticipate in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans for control systems.\nOversee Alarm Management initiatives, including facilitation for alarm rationalization, promoting awareness and application of ISA 18.2 and associated Chevron Engineering Standards (CES), and utilizing alarm management software tools when applicable.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Chevron OT personnel, CREG process design teams, and the Chevron Technology Center (CTC), to ensure process control systems align with business objectives and operational needs.\nRepresent CREG and participate actively in the Chevron Process Control Business Improvement Network (BIN) to contribute to and stay updated with best practices and industry standards.\nApply applicable Chevron Engineering Standards (CES) to all relevant aspects of process control engineering and operations.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Chemical or Control Systems Engineering.\nMinimum of 4 years of experience in process control engineering within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry. Biodiesel and Renewable Industry a plus.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMinimum of 6 years of experience in process control engineering within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry. Biodiesel and Renewable Industry a plus.\nDemonstrated experience in process control optimization and understanding of fundamentals in Advanced Regulatory Control (ARC) Techniques\nExperience in OT Cybersecurity and Information Risk Management.\nKnowledge of ISA 62443, and NIST 800-53 standards.\nProficiency in AVEVA PI Software, with experience in configuration, maintaining and updating system tags and operational data.\nKnowledge of Alarm Management and ISA 18.2 standards and familiarity with real-time Alarm Management software tools.\nFamiliarity with Emerson DeltaV DCS, Yokogawa DCS, or Rockwell Allan Bradley PLCs and PlantPax libraries.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nRelocation Options:\nRelocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.\nInternational Considerations:\nExpatriate assignments will not be considered.\nChevron regrets that it is unable to sponsor employment Visas or consider individuals on time-limited Visa status for this position.\n\nRegulatory Disclosure for US Positions:\nChevron is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
