Maintenance & Reliability\nCarry out planned preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance across production equipment.\nDiagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automation faults.\nManage maintenance activities, records and data through a CMMS system.\nMaintain appropriate levels of critical spare parts, including stock control, availability and obsolescence.\nEnsure all maintenance activities comply with EHS, quality, regulatory and safety standards.\nCoordinate and supervise maintenance work involving external contractors and building facilities.\nSupport and supervise Production teams during TPM and autonomous maintenance activities.\nIdentify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.\n2. Equipment Availability & Automation\nEnsure production equipment achieves required availability, reliability and performance targets.\nTroubleshoot complex equipment failures, including PLC and automation faults.\nModify, adjust and develop PLC programmes to restore and improve equipment functionality.\nProvide technical support to equipment suppliers during remote and on-site interventions.\nIdentify recurring equipment failures and implement effective root cause corrective actions.\nWork with Engineering and Quality teams to optimise equipment and production processes.\nContribute to continuous improvement projects designed to increase line performance and efficiency.\n3. Process Capability & Quality\nMonitor and maintain critical process parameters to ensure stable and capable production processes.\nSupport Quality teams with the qualification and parametrisation of new products, including PPAP activities.\nAssist with root cause analysis of production rejects, defects and process deviations.\nDevelop and implement effective corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).\nModify and develop PLC programmes to improve process capability, repeatability and line performance.\nWork collaboratively with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to prevent recurring issues.\nSkills & Technical Expertise\n\nThe successful candidate will have a strong multi-skilled engineering background with particular strength in PLC programming and industrial automation.\n\nEssential Technical Skills\nStrong experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment.\nProven experience in PLC programming, modification and fault finding.\nMulti-skilled knowledge covering:\nElectrical systems\nIndustrial automation\nPLCs and industrial communications\nMechanical systems\nPneumatics\nHydraulics\nAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, technical documentation and engineering specifications.\nStrong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.\nExperience using CMMS maintenance systems.\nUnderstanding of preventative and predictive maintenance principles.\nExperience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement.\nQualifications & Experience\nTechnical qualification in Electromechanical Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\nMinimum 3 years' experience within a highly automated industrial/manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrable experience or formal certification in PLC programming.\nExperience working with automated production equipment.\nKey Competencies\nProblem Solving & Root Cause Analysis\nStrong analytical and diagnostic skills.\nAbility to identify the underlying cause of equipment and process failures.\nCapable of implementing effective long-term corrective actions rather than temporary fixes.\nSafety & Compliance\nStrong commitment
