NIKA benefits include PTO, holidays, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k matching, and an understanding of work/life balance.\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\nPerforms repair, overhaul, maintenance, and servicing of commercial and industrial electrical/electronic systems, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment.\nTesting, installation, repair, and maintenance of a variety of electrical equipment, such as generators, ATS, UPS, transformers, switchboards, controllers, door operators, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, IR scans or other transmission equipment.\nPerforms fire alarm system and nurse call systems testing and maintenance.\nMaintains the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces and the workshop.\nAssist maintenance teams.\nSolely identify and resolve failures/alarms related to critical building equipment.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications\nMust have 5 years' experience.\nMust have the skill and knowledge to use all hand and power tools, test equipment and shop machines, aerial booms, and shop machines utilized by the craft.\nKnowledgeable and skilled in maintaining and repairing exterior and interior electrical wiring and components.\nAll appropriate safety practices for working with hand and power tools.\nRead and comprehend schematics, blueprints, and shop drawings.\nCommunicate verbally and in writing.\nAbility to troubleshoot systems using electronics, computers, and software systems.\nUse of computers for checking email, data entry on CMMS, and training\nElectrical, electronics, and basic knowledge of refrigeration, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and ventilating systems, safe operation and repairs and electrical troubleshooting\nMust have a high school diploma or equivalency.\nCompleted certified apprenticeship program preferred.\nAbility to pass a background and drug screening.\nNIKA provides equal employment opportunity to all individuals regardless of their race, color, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by state, federal, or local law.
