The EHS Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs that ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. This role focuses on environmental sustainability, hazard management, and promoting a safe workplace culture.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nEnvironmental Management:\nDevelop and implement environmental policies and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., EPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act).\nMonitor and manage waste disposal, water and air quality, chemical usage, and hazardous materials.\nConduct environmental impact assessments, audits, and inspections to identify areas for improvement.\nManage sustainability initiatives such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource conservation programs.\nEnsure proper reporting to regulatory bodies (e.g., Tier II, TRI, GHG emissions reports).\nHealth and Safety:\nAssist in the development and enforcement of safety policies and procedures that adhere to OSHA and other relevant safety standards.\nConduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and investigations to identify potential hazards in the workplace.\nFacilitate safety training programs for employees to promote awareness and reduce workplace injuries.\nManage incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety incidents, inspections, and corrective actions.\nCompliance and Reporting:\nEnsure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.\nMaintain and submit required environmental and safety reports, permits, and documentation.\nLiaise with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies during audits and inspections.\nTraining and Development:\nDevelop and deliver training programs on environmental, health, and safety topics to employees at all levels.\nEnsure employees are aware of and understand the importance of environmental and safety practices.\nRequirements: (Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses)\nBachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.\n3-5 years of experience in an EHS role, with a strong focus on environmental management.\nKnowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards.\nExperience with sustainability programs and initiatives (e.g., energy conservation, waste reduction).\nStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.\nProficiency in EHS management systems and software.\nAmphenol offers a competitive salary and benefits.
