Through hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to emerging technologies, you will strengthen your ability to analyze problems, evaluate solutions, and make meaningful contributions to products that support critical business outcomes.\nSuccess in this role comes from combining technical curiosity with strong collaboration skills. You will partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements, translate ideas into effective solutions, and continuously improve engineering practices. You will also have opportunities to leverage AI-enabled tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to improve efficiency, accelerate learning, enhance documentation, and support software development workflows while continuing to grow your technical capabilities in a fast-paced environment.\nWhat you have\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field\nExperience through academic projects, internships, coursework, or other hands-on learning in software development\nFoundational knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, software design principles, and relational database concepts\nExperience developing applications using .NET or Java\nExperience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases\nUnderstanding of application development concepts, debugging techniques, and software testing practices\nFamiliarity with web technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, or React\nKnowledge of RESTful APIs and web services\nUnderstanding of secure software development practices\nStrong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills\nAbility to collaborate effectively within Agile teams and adapt to evolving priorities\nDemonstrated interest in learning new technologies and continuously developing technical skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nInternship, co-op, research, or project experience supporting software engineering initiatives\nFamiliarity with asynchronous programming, concurrency, multithreading, or parallel processing concepts\nExposure to cloud-based application development or modern software engineering practices\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to support coding, testing, documentation, or workflow automation\nExperience contributing to collaborative team projects using Agile methodologies\nFamiliarity with source control, CI/CD concepts, or modern development toolchains\nIn addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.\n\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
