This is a great opportunity for experienced Professional Billing auditors who have a strong background in complex coding and are looking to join an established health system with the potential for long-term conversion.Position Details:100% Remote$28-$32/hour40 hours/week6-month Contract-to-HireEquipment providedTarget Start Date: September 21stWhat You'll Be Doing:Audit Professional Billing coding for accuracy, compliance, and appropriate reimbursementReview complex surgical, cardiology, and other specialty codingIdentify coding discrepancies and compliance concernsProvide detailed feedback and recommendations directly to codersSupport approximately 5-8 assigned codersAudit approximately 3-5 charts per assigned coder each weekResearch coding guidelines and unfamiliar specialties as neededHelp maintain consistent coding quality across a multi-specialty PB environmentWhat We're Looking For:2-3+ years of PB/Professional Billing coding auditing experienceActive CPC certification requiredStrong experience auditing complex surgical and/or complex cardiology codingStrong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, payer guidelines, and Professional Billing coding requirementsExperience providing feedback and education to codersAbility to independently research complex coding scenariosStrong communication skills and a self-motivated mentalityHighly Preferred:CPMA certificationEpic experienceMD-Audit experienceMulti-specialty PB auditing experienceBaptist Health is looking for two auditors, so candidates do not necessarily need to be experts in both surgical and cardiology coding.
