All candidate assessments and hiring decisions are made by our recruitment and leadership teams.$5,000 sign-on bonusFull benefits package from day oneRotating 12-hour day shifts (400 am 430 pm), every other weekend offPredictable schedule Week 1 Sun, Wed, Thu; Week 2 Mon, Tue, Fri, SatAs a Boiler Operator, you'll:Operate, monitor, and maintain high-pressure boilers (500+ HP)Adjust and control steam pressure, combustion efficiency, feedwater levels, and system temperaturesRespond quickly to alarms or abnormal conditions and conduct routine equipment roundsPerform preventive maintenance on boilers, pumps, valves, burners, and auxiliary equipmentTroubleshoot and resolve issues with controls, combustion systems, feedwater equipment, and steam distributionCoordinate with maintenance technicians and contractors for repairsFollow all safety policies, including PPE use and lockout/tagout proceduresMaintain compliance with Minnesota boiler licensing regulations and facility proceduresComplete required logs, inspections, and documentationConduct and record boiler water chemistry tests; adjust chemical feed systems for proper treatment, scale prevention, and corrosion controlMaintain detailed operational logs of steam production, fuel usage, alarms, and maintenance workDocument irregularities, system adjustments, and corrective actionsQualifications and skills:Required:Valid Minnesota Class 1B Boiler Engineer License or higherDemonstrated experience operating high-pressure boilers (preferably >500 HP)Strong understanding of steam systems, combustion principles, and related mechanical equipmentAbility to read and interpret gauges, schematics, and technical manualsProficiency with computerized monitoring/logging systemsPreferred:Experience in industrial or large commercial boiler operationsFamiliarity with automated boiler controls and PLC systemsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to work in high heat environments, confined spaces, and elevated platformsAbility to respond quickly during equipment alarms or operational emergenciesKerry is an equal opportunity employer.
