The successful candidate for this full-time opportunity will report directly to the RAD team leader. The successful candidate must be proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle APEX, and data modeling.\r\nEssential Duties\r\nDesign and deliver Oracle APEX applications or modifications to existing applications.\r\nGather, analyze, and document new systems requirements and changes to existing systems. Formally document requirements.\r\nDevelop detailed design specifications, schema design and entity relationship models, and test plans.\r\nActively participate in code/design reviews.\r\nAdhere to established software project management and software development lifecycle (SDLC) procedures, including data modeling, versioning, and release procedures.\r\nParticipate in collaborative process evolution subject to formal governance and approval.\r\nSupport and coordinate with team management and stake-holders in the prioritization of work.\r\nEngage other developers frequently to share relevant knowledge, opinions, and recommendations.\r\nContribute to the fulfillment of technical projects and organizational objectives, functioning as an effective team member on multi-disciplinary teams.\r\nPerform other duties as assigned.\r\nEssential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.\r\nKnowledge and experience with relational databases and SQL.\r\nKnowledge and experience with web development.\r\nSkilled in all aspects of software project life cycle: feasibility, requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance and operations.\r\nAbility to resolve user issues, data problems, and code defects.\r\nAbility to work independently and/or as part of a multi-disciplinary team environment.\r\nAdvanced problem-solving skills; ability to find solutions to complex problems and to handle multiple priorities and tasks effectively.\r\nEffective interpersonal and critical thinking skills necessary to contribute to team objectives.\r\nSufficient written and verbal communication skills necessary to prepare, present, and document technical information.\r\nDesired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities\r\nKnowledge and experience with recent low code application platforms, preferably Oracle APEX.\r\nExperience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server.\r\nProficiency in PL/SQL.\r\nKnowledge and experience with web development technologies and languages such as Javascript, Ajax, CSS, and HTML.\r\nExperience in software design and architecture principles.\r\nExperience with data modeling (ERD) tools.\r\nExperience working as a member of a team as well as independently.\r\nSpecial Requirements\r\nPre-Placement Medical Exam: A job-related pre-placement medical examination may be required.\r\nPre-employment drug test: External applicants selected for this position will be required to pass a post offer, pre-employment drug test.\r\nAnticipated Government Clearance Level: Q (position will be cleared to this level).
