This is a full time/direct hire position located in Midlothian, Virginia- (Richmond, VA area) however open to considering hybrid role for experienced candidates.\nKey Requirements & Responsibilities:\nResponsible for performing engineering duties on assigned projects including equipment specifications, process piping, material handling and conveying, HVAC, and other mechanically related engineering and design.\nManage the engineering and design process from inception to completion. This includes: leading projects, work planning, directing and overseeing designers and engineers assigned to your projects, design reviews (both internal and with client), and checking deliverables (calculations, drawings, technical reports)\nMechanical Engineering undergraduate degree from an ABET accredited school\nJob Responsibilities:\nDirect customer interface and coordination\nDevelop study reports, bids, proposals, scopes of work, P&IDs, estimates, schedules, material lists, design concepts, scope change documents, correspondence, and other project documentation per customer and corporate guidelines\nManage scope, schedule, and budget\nManage the engineering and design process from inception to completion. This includes: leading projects, work planning, directing and overseeing designers and engineers assigned to your projects, design reviews (both internal and with client), and checking deliverables\n(calculations, drawings, technical reports)\nExercise innovative cost efficiency approaches in the project design to reduce construction costs and increase productivity\nSize and specify typical process equipment such as pumps, tanks, chemical reactors, heat exchangers, chillers, condensers, mixers, etc.\nPerform calculations to size and specify process, service and utility piping systems\nPerform calculations to size and specify safety relief devices\nReview equipment submittals for accuracy and validate against specifications\nMaintain familiarity with various industrial codes such as ASME and API\nVisit customer sites for field work\nAssist in commissioning and start up\nJob Requirements:\nMechanical Engineering undergraduate degree from an ABET accredited school\n10+ years of heavy industrial experience in a design or project engineering role.\nVirginia Professional Engineer preferred but not required\nMust have heavy industrial experience i\nProject management experience\nExperience working in a multidiscipline engineering consulting firm\nProcess safety experience (PHAs, HAZOPs, Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Inherently Safer Design, Documentation to support process safety, etc.)\nCurrent working knowledge of safety relief device code requirements, calculations, sizing and system design procedures\nCurrent working knowledge of mechanical engineering principles with an emphasis on fluid mechanics, mass and heat transfer, and thermodynamics\nWorking knowledge of incorporating safety, maintainability, constructability, and operational requirements into the design process\nMust be technically sound, and be willing to mentor junior engineers\nStrong communication and organizational skills\nStrong ethics and corporate loyalty\nMust be results oriented\nMust be a team player\nMust possess uncompromised commitment to quality\nMust be US citizen, have a valid U.S. Driver's license, Clear Background, Pass a Drug test\n\nBenefits:\nWe offer a fast paced, exciting work environment with a competitive compensation package including: Health Care Benefits, Paid Time Off & Holidays, Flexible work schedules, Work life balance, Paid overtime, Performance based bonus, 401K match and Tuition reimbursement.\n\nCompany Overview:\nWe hire the best in Engineering & Design!
