This position is to provide advisory and assistance services to the Air Force. This is a senior-level position located at Hill Air Force Base (HAFB), as part of the ICBM Combined Test Force (CTF), under the 804th Test Group affiliated with Arnold Engineering Complex and will provide oversight of Sentinel ICBM (formally GBSD) CTF Test Lead activities to assist/augment SPO (System Program Office) Test Managers.\nEssential Duties\nProvide technical support to the Sentinel Combined Test Force (CTF) Lead Developmental Test & Evaluation Organization (LDTO) in development test and evaluation (DT&E) activities for AF Nuclear Weapons Center missile systems.\nSupport Minuteman III and/or Sentinel developmental test efforts to assess performance against stated program requirements.\nWork as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through multiple program acquisition phases.\nProvide test & evaluation expertise and technical guidance and information to the government.\nSupport reviews and testing of ICBM Launch Facility Operational Ground Program (OGP), Operational Flight Program (OFP), and Flight Program Constants (FPC) software programs.\nSupport reviews and testing of ICBM Launch Control Center (LCC) Console Operations Program (COP) and Minuteman III Operational Targeting Program (MOTP) software programs.\nObserve designated testing, perform independent assessment, and analysis of technical data and test results using knowledge of the requirements and traceable performance parameters.\nAuthor a variety of products detailing independent test and evaluation assessment.\nSupport use of digital engineering applications in T&E of the weapon system.\nLead and mentor junior team members as assigned.\nMaintain cognizance of all assigned CTF/Test Team engineering activities.\nSupport periodic reviews of test support and systems integration test results and test plan status. Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Integrated Test Teams (ITTs), and Working Groups (WGs) as appropriate.\nProvide technical support and advocate integrated approaches of engineering efforts and support of test activities for which existing guidelines may not be available or applicable.\nServe as a test team participant in the development of overall plans such as the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), System Test Plan (STP), Developmental Test (DT) Report, recommendation for IOT&E readiness, and other technical documents.\nRequired Qualifications\nA Bachelor of Science degree. At least six years direct work experience or four years direct experience and an Associate’s degree can be substituted for a Bachelor degree\nMust hold or be able to obtain a Top-Secret DoD security clearance.\nA Master’s degree in a related field and 10 years of experience that includes command and launch test and evaluation is highly desired. Eight years’ experience can be substituted for education beyond the Bachelor’s level if waived by the government.\nExperience in working on AFNWC strategic ballistic missile programs is highly desired.\nExperience in working with DoD organizations, test organizations and/or prime contractors is highly desired.\nAbility and desire to rapidly learn a complex system spanning many engineering disciplines.\nBackground in physics, systems and software engineering, and math principles required to maintain software, including understanding of missile operations, ICBM modeling, flight navigation, and flight analysis.\nPersonal and organizational interactions exhibit and foster cooperation and teamwork, enhance customer relations, and actively promote rapport with customers.\nVerbal and written communications are clear, concise, and at appropriate level.\nUtilize resources effectively to accomplish mission, including ability to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.\nMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.\nFocused adherence to safety and security requirements.\nFamiliarity with test & evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies is highly desired.\nFamiliarity with ICBM Operational Software Program (IOSSP) is highly desired.\nMust be willing to travel up to 10%.\nMust have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance at Top Secret.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nA Masters degree is desired.\nFamiliarity with ICBM weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment, their projected use in the military, and methods of testing.\nFamiliarity with test & evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies.\nUtilize resources effectively to accomplish mission, including ability to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.\nAble to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.\nAn active and transferrable DoD security clearance with active investigation is highly desirable.\nBenefits\nQualis LLC is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse and talented workforce who can contribute to the mission and vision of the Company.
