The successful candidate will be responsible for the supporting the operational excellence and success of the various value streams which will come from continuous improvement efforts, maintaining Value Stream health, and establishing strong working relationships with teammates, engineering leadership and operational leadership.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nParticipation in the Technical Support for assigned value stream\nParticipates in the achievement of the High-Performance Value Stream metrics and initiatives\nParticipates in the execution of the Strategy Deployment initiative\nParticipates in process development, documentation, and support\nParticipates in the assurance of the health of the value stream (FTY, scrap, MDR Onset, TPM)\nInventory management support (MSS, Solumina, Comp Cards)\nProblem Solving (RCCA, PDCA, Shainin, etc)\nOperational training support\nParticipation in the Technical Compliance for assigned value stream\nAS13100 Support and Execution\nProcess / Product Correlation\nProcess Engineering Change Order process\nMetallurgical qualification and compliance (ES6-26 process)\nReturned Goods process\nParticipation in the Technical support for Lean / Continuous Improvement\nValue Stream Mapping\nProcess Capability Analysis\nProcess Optimization Data Analysis\nProcess Mistake Proofing (Identification and implementation)\nParticipation in the Technical support for Environmental Health and Safety\nFacilitate and support the performing of ergonomic assessments on processes\nFacilitate, lead, and support the implementation of ergonomic improvement projects\nOwnership of machine safety for all equipment within the value stream\nValue Stream Strategy Deployment\nTechnical support of the long-term strategy\nTechnical support of the short term AOP Project Identification\nTechnical support of the Annual SD Project Execution\nTalent Development execution for team members (Mfg Eng Techs, Mfg Eng I, Mfg Eng II)\nFacilitation of training opportunities and direction\nMentoring technical resources for assigned value stream\nMentoring technical resources for the engineering team\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree (BS) in Manufacturing Engineering or related engineering field.\n2+ years engineering experience or equivalent in a manufacturing environment\nBasic knowledge of manufacturing processes, principles and concepts\nBasic knowledge of lean principles for manufacturing\nBasic knowledge of quality principles for manufacturing\nRead and understand GD&T requirements of product drawings\nUnderstand process capability theory\nFamiliarity with joining processes (braze, weld, etc.)\nCAD modeling and drafting experience\nBasic blueprint reading and interpretation\nStrong mechanical aptitude\nAbility to interface with multiple levels of the organization\nEffective communication skills: verbal and written\nAbility to function in a team environment\nAbility to use Microsoft software programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience working in cross-functional teams\nExperience working with supply chain\nMinitab or equivalent stat software\nCREO and/or Unigraphics modeling software experience\nSix Sigma experience or certification\n\nDue to the Company’s military contractor status, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident of the United States and must provide evidence of citizenship or immigration status upon applying for the position.
