We have grown to over 350 drivers and have terminal locations throughout Arizona, Utah and New Mexico.A mechanic diagnoses, adjusts, repairs, and assists in the maintenance of all types of diesel and non-diesel engines. Performs maintenance and repairs on equipment such as tractors, trailers, generators, and other equipment owned or operated by our organization.Great Benefits:Weekly payDirect depositQuarterly Safety BonusVacation, sick& holiday payMedical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability benefitsWellness Program401(k) MatchJob Requirements:Valid Driver License Minimum 18 years of age1 Year of Experience with diesel or heavy equipment preferred; Less experience will be considered on an individual basis and may require an extended training periodMust have your own set of requisite tools and toolboxNo more than 2 moving violations within the previous 3 yearsNo major violations within the previous 5 yearsAbility to troubleshoot, diagnose & repairTire & service experienceAbility to pass a controlled substance test for pre-employmentpurposesAuthorized access to mine sitesEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Commitment to working safely at all timesMaintain a clean and safe work environment at all times and adhere to all OSHA/EPA requirementsAssist in various maintenance department activitiesOperation ofmid-levelmechanical toolsWork on tractor components including, but not limited to, engines, transmissions, starters, generators, alternator, and other miscellaneous componentsDiagnose and perform mechanical trailer repairs on a wide variety of trailers, such as pneumatic, live bottoms, belly dumps,flatbeds, and tanker trailersDiagnose and perform mechanical repairs on a wide variety of company equipmentInspect equipment for structural integrity and other potential safety and maintenance problemsInspect, diagnose, disassemble, clean, remove, and replace defective parts; reassemble, install, and adjust to specified performance standardsObtain parts from stock as neededInput data into a maintenance software programPerform the job duties of lube/tire technician and laborer as neededAssist with service callsAssist other maintenance and office personnel when necessaryOperate maintenance pick-up truck, forklift, and other company equipmentAdhere to grooming standards and dress codePersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and must be worn as directedNotify manager of updates or problems regarding their driver license, as well as all citations, inspections, incidents, accidents, and near-missesCorrect and report unsafe conditions in the work areaMaintain contact with manager to advise of problems or concernsOther reasonable duties as assignedAssist with general maintenance, clean-up, and other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Work varying hours and schedulesWork overtime, as neededMaintain a current driver licenseMust be able to be insured under the company's vehicle insurance policyWork well with othersUnderstand and comply with organizational policies and procedures and all applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulationsApply general rules to specific problemsApply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal formAbility to communicate information in verbal and written form and the ability to listen to and understand information and directions.Add, subtract, multiply and divide in whole numbersPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:This position requires the ability to lift, carry, pull, push and/or move up to 50 pounds.This position requires the ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms and hands, grip, speak, hear, see, climb and/or balance, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, squat or crawl, use legs, and feet. This position requires constant climbing of stairs and/or ladders, working at elevations of 14 feet above the ground, and bending over.This position is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic and/or caustic chemicals or substances, extreme weather conditions, vibration, and equipment under pressure.The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and risks of electrical shock.
